The Heritage of America
Appalachian Mountain Style Dancing is so named because it was in these hills, stretching from Georgia to Southern Pennsylvania, that this dance has been preserved.
The Dance, which is older in origin than our nation itself, can truly be called the:
"AMERICAN FOLK DANCE"

It is a blend of the rhythms and motions of many of our founding ancestors who settled here, and made this beautiful land their home.  It is clean, beautiful, expressive dancing.  Steeped with Traditions and Love.

The steps reflect the European Customs of our many peoples, and the movements and names are reflective of our Nation's growth, geography, and history.

The dance is filled with an abundance of physical vigor and joy, reflecting the happiness found in this great new land, and the bright dreams for its' future.

The truly American music is played on the fiddle, banjo and guitar to the spirited hoe-down.  While happy CLOGGING feet beat out the rhythm of its' very heartbeat-

A combination that lifts both dancers and spectators to new Spirited Heights.
